The Uganda Institute of Information and Communications Technology (UICT) a Public Tertiary Institution wishes to recruit qualified and experienced  part-time Lecturers  for semester 1of Academic Year 2009/2010.

 

1.     Department of ICT  (Lecturers 35 Vacancies)

 

Applicants are required to have at least an Honours first degree in the areas listed below.

§         Telecommunication Engineering;

§         Computer Engineering

§         Information Technology

§         Computer Science

§         Electrical/Electronics Engineering

 

Teaching experience in a recognized institution of higher learning or 2 years of industrial experience and a Masters Degree will be of added advantage.

 

2. Department of Management (Lecturers 20 Vacancies)

 

Applicants are required to have at least an Honours first degree in the areas listed below.

§         Project Management

§         Human Resource Management

§         Financial Accounting

§         Records and Archives Management

§         Economics

§         Business Statistics

§         Development Studies

§         Business Management

 

Teaching experience in a recognized institution of higher learning or 2 years of industrial experience and a Masters Degree will be of added advantage.

 

The Institute conducts two sessions: day (8.00 am to 5. 00 pm) and evening (5:30 pm to 9:30 pm), therefore applicants are required to indicate whether they are available for day or evening or both.

 

The Institute pays shs. 25,000/= (before tax) per hour taught and Shs. 1000/= (before tax) per examination script marked.
