Diploma in Multimedia Technology(DMT)

Multimedia systems combine a variety of information sources, such as voice, graphics, animation, images, audio, and full motion video, into a wide range of applications. Multimedia is normally recorded and played, displayed, or accessed by information content processing devices, such as computerised and electronic devices.

Multimedia devices are electronic media used to store and experience multimedia content. Multimedia is widely used for education, entertainment, and frequently used on the Internet.

Animation is the rapid display of a sequence of images to create an illusion of movement. The most common method of presenting animation is as a motion picture or video programme.

The programme is designed to impart all-round knowledge on the major aspects of Creative Multimedia which are: Graphics, Interactive Web Design, 2D Animation and Imaging, 3D Modelling and Animation, Video Editing as well as composition.

TARGET GROUP

  • “A” level leavers with at least one principle pass in any Science subject
  • “O” level leavers with certificate in relevant ICT from a recognized institution

MINIMUM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Admission in this Program is through any of the two avenues:

  • Holders of Advanced Level of Education (A-level) Certificate with at least ONE Principal pass in any Science subject or Fine Art.
  • Holders of O-level Certificate with at least a credit pass in Physics or Mathematics,
  • AND a relevant Certificate from a recognized institution.
